Stripe-Throated Hermit

This is a very small Hummingbird that weighs no more than 3 grams.

The females are about 3.4 grams in size and the males are a bit smaller.

Hummingbirds can move their wings so many times per second. The design of their wings is very different from that of other types of birds.

They use the colors of their bodies to help them blend in. They are able to fly at a speed of about 20 to 30 miles per hour.
